Every year hundreds of thousands of people from around the world come to Canada. They come searching for a better life and a prosperous future. What many don’t have is the inner peace and joy that only Christ brings to the human heart.
Every Christian wants to serve to fulfill Christ’s mission to reach people with His love. In the past this meant travelling to a nation halfway around the world. But gone are the days when you had to pack your bags, purchase a plane ticket, take time off work/school, learn a language etc before you could go on mission. Today, the mission field is right around us – not just in the people who immigrate to Canada but also in a local population that no longer considers faith, hope and salvation a major priority in their lives. GO Conference is designed to equip the ordinary Christian (is there even such a thing?) to effectively communicate the gospel to those around us, regardless of where they’ve come from and what they believe (or don’t believe).
This is a non-denominational, Christ centred, local church loving, compassion driven, justice oriented, disciple-first movement of people who believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to a relationship with God, that He is the only Saviour of the world and that every man, women and child deserves to hear about how they can have their sins forgiven through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Each year we bring passionate, gospel centred speakers from various backgrounds to share how we can become effective witnesses of the love and power of Jesus Christ to those around us and how each of us can obey the final command of our Lord to GO make disciples!
